And even more so now than previously when there was competition with the USSR and Communist China. In fact, South Africa is very much the gateway to the whole continent and South African companies, as much as any other, are busy scrambling for new business in virtually every African country. Of course, SA has paid for this privilege and Africans of every size, shape and color have swarmed to South Africa, legally and illegally. So, it's actually quite vibrant living here because there's such an intermingling of cultures. And it's certainly not like it was under "apartheid".

As I said, the EG story is screwy and I don't believe they were going to the Sudan, either. In my opinion, the DRC is the likely target but, for obvious reasons, they won't say where. |
