That's true. Focusing on the polls is kind of like focusing on 1st downs in a football game. What's important is who wins in the end.

Bush will undoubtably get a boost from the convention. How much might be important in the long run, but it will fade nontheless. The election will probably be decided by the debates. Everyone has been saturated with adverstising from both sides. The conventions are having their predicted effects. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this race was dead even again in a month. Then, comes the debates. That will decide the election.
