On Sunday I took a walk down to midtown to see the demonstrators' march first hand.

The most noteworthy thing that I took away from watching them was that - far from being the enraged, disgruntled group that they'd seemingly like to be thought of as...or, for that matter, that the media often portrays them as - it was more like a big street party: lots of laughter, horseplay, and pageantry.

The closest thing I saw to someone espousing anarchy was a marcher wearing a Sex Pistols t-shirt. Considering it now, I'd say it was more like the annual Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village than something reminiscent of the mid to late 1960s.
