EWSG Meetings (Seattle area):

Speaking of meetings (nice to see your efforts to start up a group in S. Cal, John!) ... After a two month break for the summer, the Elliott Wave Study Group will be starting up again with our September meeting on 9/20/97 from 8 - 10 am. Please e-mail me for directions if you're interested. My plan is to normally meet each month on the third Saturday of the month, except for December, July and August. Since most members own GET, it is a quasi-GET users group, but we discuss other things besides GET at our meetings. Long term membership is by invitation only.

John, here are some notes I give out for future meeting coordinators that may be helpful to you and maybe others:

***********************************************************

Duties of the meeting coordinator:

Arranging for a meeting location
Line up the program agenda (usually two main presenters)
Try to have presenters use actual trades instead of hypotheticals
Presenters can use the computer or prepare handouts
Have a backup plan in case one presenter can't make it or cancels
Meeting coordinator does not necessarily have to be a presenter
Make arrangements for having a computer available, if needed
However, arrangements need to be made for a monitor or two,
as well as associated cabling, extension cords, etc.
Insure that proper software and data is on the computer
E-mail or send out meeting notices (including directions and meeting topics)
MC the meeting to provide for orderly discussion flow
The hardest thing is to only have one person speak at a time
Off-topic or chaotic discussions may occur over breakfast later on :-)
End meeting on time

***********************************************************

As for meeting topics, one thing that seems very popular in our group is having someone present an actual trade (not a hypothetical or paper trade) that they have on-going or have recently completed with their complete analysis.
