'Stagnating' is what we'll do when the carrying costs of the deficit get too high, and interest rates crowd out private borrowing.

Yep, for fruitful investment, and when you can afford to pay the debt back without driving the nation into StagFlationary penury.

Right now, consumption spending is FIVE TIMES higher then savings... think about how long THAT can last before recession.
