Idea of the Day- A strange ‘moral’ dilemma!! Tears of pain and joy flow in concert!

Collective 'Arab government diplomatic pressures' are expected to help secure release of French journalists. Amen

Once the two journalists are freed, it is good news for families and government of France and we all wish Godspeed release and recovery from the scars of this heinous crime.

My inside prompts me to think of something disturbing and less humane, I know this is not the occasion it is like putting spanner in the perfect achievement of freedom obtained, but let it be, I wish similar pressures are always utilised, without favouritism by the Arab regimes, to save all human beings from these tormenters, the grisly beheading of 12 Nepalese, a nation totally non aligned in the current global ideological conflict only helps firm the notion that selective ‘rewards of mercy’ are aimed at dividing the resolve of international community in this war on terror outfits.

French benign and proactive non alignment is absolutely helping secure the support of nearly every Arab leader but that only indicates how little life of any other ‘innocent’ means to these terror outfits and regimes who can collectively pervail to provide reprieve from any situation, it also indicated that their exist some kind of unwritten alliance where superior interests of the ‘dread outfits’ do mingle with unannounced goals of some of these Arab regimes. It should open the eyes of global community that innocent heads being cut can be blocked if a genuine endeavour is made on the part of the collective Arab conscience. It is a day of mixed feelings, contentment for freedom of French journalists and great sorrow for innocents killed by the suicide bomber in Israel, Moscow citizens sacrificed on the altar of war between Russia and Chechens and 12 beheaded Nepalese a scapegoat for the withdrawal of forces from Iraq.

Two lessons, the first that ‘the life of a citizen of poor nation has very little meaning’ and the second that stronger nations can expect political rewards based on past satisfactory performance. The desired results i.e. saving of life if any stronger nation’s citizens ever find themselves in a tight corner like French did is effective control that terrorists have been able to secure as a result of their "scorch people" policy in Iraq.

Choosy help based on policy discretion traits of nations is a kind of 'bigotry' and narrow favouritism. It's universal acceptance is guaranteed since any criticism is deemed as criticism of saving lives however it is a very sad day for mankind, global community unity that of respect of universal human life is being desecrated by the vandals and very few are able to notice it. If discreet reward of ‘appeasement’ is accepted as the accepted principle of diplomacy, we will see a lot more nations giving into demands of terror outfits!

My heart goes out tonight to my compatriots the two Pakistanis who were beheaded like chickens, it was tragic that my nation's desire of not being ambiguous, as to where they stand on this war of terror, did not help them! I seriously think may be ambiguity in global diplomacy is far better than certainty but if everyone turns out to be ambiguous and vague no one can stop the world slipping into obscurity of medievalism!

Maybe the best course is ambivalence; just never have certainty in action and play both sides of the divided. Allow one eye to spill tears of joy the other to shed tears of pain.
