The only reason we are there is because protecting democracies in other countries it is the right thing for a democracy to do. We have to have vision and consider the betterment of the world for the generations to come with. Think of all the good a free and democratic middle east would be to your great great grandchildren. Humanity has a duty has to build for the future generations to come. This is not always the easy thing to do.

We have to do whatever it takes to protect Israel for another reason. They have over 125 nuclear weapons. We are actually protecting the arab world from Israel because Israel will not hesitate to use them. Could you imagine the world with all arab capitals being nuked? One of our greatest fears is a wmd attack on Israel and a nuclear retaliation from them.

The only reason is energy. For another 50 years or so we will have to rely on fossil fuels.We cannot allow our energy sources to become undependable. Our entire economy is based on it.
