Oh, really. Here is GW's original application to be transferred to the 9921st Air Reserve Squadron. The request is dated May 24 1972, and includes GW's Address and Phone Number. (People that are wanted by the Law don't give out their address and phone number, especially deserters and AWOLs.)

See Page 10 for the approval from the unit's Colonel, a welcome aboard, dated 26 May 1972. GW has changed unit's as of 26 May 1972. Notice the Colonel says it a training Category G (no drills) and NO PAY unit and that the unit could be disbanded at any time, 3 months, 6 months or a year. Its signed by Lt Col. Reese.
