O'Neill says he misspoke and was merely near the border. He says he was never in Cambodia. Just like Kerry. I doubt he would put a classified mission in them, as that would be against the law. Oh, so you're clinging to the Kerry was running CIA spooks in Cambodia, huh. But its not in his day by day journal cause it was CLASSIFIED. Sure, thats the ticket. But if it was classified, why has he talked about it on the floor of the Senate and written about it in a review of Apocalypse Now? Why does he tell reporters about his "good luck" hat kept in his briefcase supposedly given him by a CIA agent he took into Cambodia? Well, you can say, because it's not classified anymore. Ah but then, if its not classified he can come out and tell exactly when he went into Cambodia and what he was doing there. And he would do that, if he could, to clear up the negative stories hurting his campaign. But of course, he can't because he made the whole story up to make his 4 months in Nam seem more momentous - like Apocalypse Now - where he got the Cambodia idea in the first place.
