Kerry would have to come and get my 8 mm Mauser then, with its bayonet and cartridge box. It's an assault rifle, the best that the Germans could come up with sixty years ago.

Too bad for them they didn't have the Garand. Maybe I should get a Garand, huh!

I don't really want an M-16. They violate my sense of aesthetics, but they are extremely accurate. I used one once (semi-auto, of course) for collecting genetic material from the tops of the best trees in my area for use in our tree improvement program. On second thought, maybe I should get a M-16 too! It would look great next to my .30-30.

Why don't you want me to have an antique 8 round bolt action 8 mm rifle, Sprite? I really like that rifle. I used it to put a bullet right between the eyes of Osama bin Laden. In effigy, of course. If I ever get the chance, I'm sure it will suffice for the real thing. Or my .30-30 too, for that matter. You don't want to take that away, do you? I mean, it's really special! The .30-30 was one of the first calibers to use smokeless powder. It's been around for about 100 years or so.
