We don't hear so much about the USA supporting Chechen Islamic Jihad rebels these days, since the USA has felt a touch of the whip from Al Q too.

We won't find the USA funding Afghanistan's mujahideen against Russia nowadays. That stupid idea back-fired in a big way. Now the USA is more likely to be asking Russia to come back to Afghanistan and deal with Chechnya on the way.

France might even be starting to realize that Moslems aren't all goody two-shoes itching to become regular French citizens. They want it their way - or else. Of course.
