Re: I think the French government should end the head scarf ban now. What's the big deal just to end it?

I think the US government should recognize Yasser Arafat... I think Dubya should invite Arafat to Crawford... What's the big deal just to chat with Arafat over a cup of tea?

I would advise the US NOT to mess too much with other countries' internecine squabbles... That headscarf law is already a nonissue as far as France is concerned. Sure, on its inception, the headscarf ban was a red-hot-button issue and stirred up the whole Muslim constituency --no longer. Only Israeli stirrers and some pervert American Judeofascists fancy they could turn it into a thorny wedge into the French fabric. But US troublemakers should worry about their own country as well: what if other countries/powers pulled that kind of silly game on YOU??? You've got over... what? 400 militias spread across the country? Plus thousands of FBI-wanted fugitives on the loose? What will be left of the US polity after another 911? You cooked up the first one --911 was an insider job-- and look where it brought you: right up to the brink of full-scale fascism... Another, teeny-weeny disruption and... Whooops... down you go!

Keep in mind that France has already been through all that shit: remember Algeria? That's actually the most important contemporary conflict for us to analyze --much more significant than WWII. Unlike WWII, the French-Algerian war lasted 8 years, from 1954 to 1962... Although the history of French rule over Algeria up to 1954 was not a long quiet river (just think of the bloodshed in Setif in 1945).

So there are now insane Judeofascists in America and Israel who fancy they can foment civil unrest in France out of their own reckless crusade in Iraq?? LOL... Get real you damfools! Just try to get out of your self-inflicted shit in Iraq like the French did in 1962: General De Gaulle masterly steered France through the crisis, avoiding civil war, a military coup and the collapse of French democracy... De Gaulle didn't attempt to export France's colonial crisis to the US! That's a lesson for you yanks to heed.
