Joking aside, I think David's prediction was brilliant. With COMS being cheaper we could/should have gotten more coms for our usrx. I remember ranting like mad at the time at Cowell for selling out but as things are right now, I think Cowell was prescient. I hope David's dream regarding Lucent marrying 3Com comes true though. Current market cap of Lucent and Cisco are almost exactly the same: about 53 billion each. 3Com is only about 9.7, if the Microsoft Investor I am using is correct, which makes it 'strange' because usr makes up much more than half of the new 3Com cap.
