See, Bush never flew solo. The planes were 101A's which have a flight trainer holding the stick not the trainee pilot. And the three-month request as a ruse in order to be turned down to avoid duty. You notice after he was qualified he never flew, using the excuse that they used a different plane in Alabama, and other excuses. Shortly thereafter he avoided his mandatory drug test and was grounded. He was never cleared to fly again and got off 8 months early to go to Harvard.
