An amicable invite for Saddam on a turkey shoot would have achieved the same goal. Or a well-placed sniper at an OPEC meeting.
Are you aware (OF COURSE NOT!) that until recently it was illegal under US law for anyone in the US gov't to become involved in any way in a project to assassinate a foreign leader?

So you think Bush 41 should have simply ignored the law? Who do you think he was? Clinton?
