True, not to mention the absolute worst case scenario, where it grinds north right on the coastline from Melbourne to Jacksonville. 2nd worse scenario would be landfall at Melbourne followed by the eye passing over Orlando. Probably reasonable for some of the evacuees to head to Tampa/St Pete, the storm would at least have to pass over 150 miles of land before it gets there and will be significantly weakened by then.
