Henry:

As you know, I have owned LGND for years. As you also know, I sold all of my ALRT at 32 and most of my LGND (excepting the smidge of shares that I got from Glycomed) at 17, ages ago. That's the trouble with Ligand..... lots of good science, but the share price never goes anywhere. Management has been very unkind to the investor.

I like Ligand's science, but I like to invest in companies where the share price goes up. When are things going to change?

Remember, I was Ron's roommate when we were grad students together at UCLA. Incredibly bright guy, but (1) human, and (2) not in control of LGND's purse strings. All the consultants and founders in the world don't change the fact that Ligand's management has used dilution and debt in a fashion that has not benefited the shareholder.

Highest respect for you Henry, but you've been promoting LGND for over two years. I agree, it's got potential. When will we see it?

Cheers! Rick
