The war in Iraq is over. Its been over in my mind ever since Saddam was captured alive. That was a feat in itself. But you're going to say but U.S. soldiers are still dying. Well when did the War in Europe end? Wasn't it May, 8th 1945, not 1948? Thats what I learned in school. Then maybe you can explain to me why if the War in Europe ended in 1945, why 6000 more US servicemen were killed in Germany by guerilla's bombs for three more years?

I served my time in the military and was on active duty during the first Gulf War, and also in a Seabee battalion for many years in the 1990s. The battalion I joined was called up during the Gulf War, so I very well knew the risks of joining and it didn't stop me. By the way, my original comments were based on a military officer's comments I read today who is in Iraq and is determined to see the job through. He chastised the ant-war crowds in New York city for sending the wrong message to the Iraqi people who are skeptical of the US meaning what it says.
