Cheney did well. The delegates almost got him to laugh out loud with their "flip-flop" chant.
As for Capitalism, it's great as long as the wealthiest remember that the workers provided them with their fortunes. When the pampered class starts to forget that fact, workers need to remind them. In 2008 I expect this country will get a wake up call on that issue, unless steps are taken in the meantime to include workers' considerations in trade agreements. The working middle class built the USA. Many "former" American corporations who now consider themselves "global" companies, have forgotten that the USA belongs to average citizens--not exclusively to the greedy class. The country is supposed to work for everyone...not just the ivory-towered crowd. Now I'll step down from my podium...thanks, that felt good.<g> As you can see, I'm voting for GW but I'm not exuberant about certain aspects of his administration. My conclusion after 4yrs is that Bush/Cheney are under the false impression that life in the USA does not exist beyond the Fortune 500.
