Of course, but I suspect the divide in this country is pretty serious and that makes this election important.

I don't think the divide is what makes the election important. I think it depends whether we are coasting in peace and prosperity (as we did in last 3 elections) or whether we are seriously challenged. That makes this election more important than the last 3, but not as important as all the elections since Pearl Harbor to the fall of the Berlin Wall.



I disagree.........I think this is the most important election since FDR came to power in the 1930s. Bush has defined our differences like no one has since 1860............we must decide whether we will be the world's bully or the world's uniter......whether we will live with politics of fear or politics of progress. Its the civil war all over again.....the red states vs the blue states.

I believe everything is as stake including the union! For the first time in my life, I am unclear whether our democracy is up to the challenge.
