"They dump them at below their cost" -- No, they sell things here to make money. Almost every major US manufacturer has an operation in China. There are quality issues to be sure, and labor and environmental issues that are hard to crack. As it stands now, the US is hooked on cheap products from China, and hooked on borrowing money from the Chinese to pay for what we import as well as what we spend on government services in the US but refuse to pay for ourselves -- the war on Iraq has a bill, and it is being sent to your children so that the super-rich can do as they wish.
