IF GIFT wins the judge will enter an injuction prohibiting the defendants from infringing. An appeal will allow the defendants to delay paying damages, but they cannot delay the injunction. Thus, the defendants would have to stop doing business immediately, or settle and license. I think that actually favors GIFT since each defendant will lose tremendous business and good will by shutting down. Usually stock prices respond to liability findings, or damage awards, not the actual collection of damages.
