On a head-to-head basis, Edwards appears to be a stronger vice presidential candidate than Republican Vice President Dick Cheney is.

This speaks volumes about how ignorant the average voter is. Cheney has been demonized by the Left, essentially burned at the stake, without any grounds whatsoever. Yet, the public never once stopped to ask, "Why?". Cheney is a man of absolute, indisputable integrity; he has years of experience, clearly comes across as a smart, accomplished individual -- yet, somehow, the Left has been able to destroy his credibility.

I realize it is all politics. But there is a great deal of unfairness here. We have a sorry trial lawyer against a man of accomplishment and integrity. Yet the voting public doesn't comprehend the issue.

It won't matter, but it isn't right for these Left-winger smear campaigns to work like they do; it just isn't right.
