I'm truly sorry for that man losing his son.

Other people have lost their children in this war or that, or for that matter, in peacetime traning exercises. I'm sorry for all of them.

But it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the election. Had I been there, I would have done exactly as others apparently did -- "I'm sorry for your loss". I would not have brought up the fact that his son enlisted, agreeing to fight any war our commander in chief says he must. In exchange for certain benefits. He wasn't drafted. And I'd wager the man's son had a different take on it than the man did.

You should have listened to Miller's speech. He addressed this issue, when he talked about all of the soldiers we've lost over the years in fighting for freedom.

It is a foreign concept to many on the Left. But all this good stuff we have in this country didn't come from protestors sitting on their butts. Real men fought and died for it.
