If kerry was smarter than he would be President now LOL!

But don't forget Kerry was not a candidate in prior elections.

Also don't forget that Dumbya got through by the skin of his teeth and that with the help of skullduggery involving his brother Jeb, his friend Scalia and the Supreme Court. That was a travesty in US election history. And then the Prez led the country into the Iraq quagmire and meat grinder and a humongous deficit, job loss and education failure & lots more failures.

Tonight many Repub supporters thought Bush made a magnificent speech. But how many realized he made his speech with the aid of a teleprompter and Ms. Hughes? By contrast, John Kerry who spoke an hour later elsewhere needed no prepared speech, no teleprompter: he articulated the thoughts he had marshalled in his head and as they came to mind. If Bush were to debate him face to face, Bush would be outclassed and made to look like an utter idiot. No wonder Bush had refused to debate Kerry man to man!

Bush's speech tonight contained some ideas which were borrowed from Kerry's DNC speech. Bush and his speech-crafters were not original and did not exhibit courtesy for borrowing some of Kerry's ideas. Bush foisted borrowed ideas on his listeners as if they were his own. That was very cheap and shabby of Bush.

Apart from elements borrowed from Kerry's DNC speech, Bush's speech was an insult to the intelligence of his listeners. Apparently his Republican listeners knew it not.
As with all things Republican since January 2000, his speech was interlarded with brazen falsehoods and false claims of his success and achievements.

I found that Bush's speech, despite the obvious aids from stage experts, the teleprompter and from Ms. Hughes, was a non-speech. It was a dismal and disappointing performance from an presumptuous incumbent who was brazen enough to beg for four more years.
