Kerry criticized Bush & Cheney for not fighting in Vietnam last night. A couple thoughts come to mind "I will not have my commitment to defend this country questioned by those who refused to serve" 1) Why is he so critical of Cheney for getting deferments when Kerry himself applied for one and was denied? Only after he was denied did Kerry walk in and enlist. He did this to avoid being drafted and sent to the front 2) Why would he have wanted Cheney & Bush in Vietnam when according to Kerry, everyone except the swifboat guys (and Kerry when HE burned villages) were committing atrocities? Either Kerry believes Vietnam was wrong and a violation of human rights or he doesn't. If he truly believed everyone was committing human rights violations then why on earth would he want two more people doing the same thing?
