Bush has made a career on negative campaigns, starting with Richards, then McCain, Gore, and now Kerry. He knows nothing other than negative campaigning.
But, Bush/Rove have taken the negativity to a new low. They employ surrogates to spread fantastical lies and rumors, including a distortion of McCain's adopted Bangladeshian child, rumors of affairs, and lies about him cooperating with the North Vietnamese.
Now, with their obvious connections to the Swiftie Liar O'Neill, they have demonstrated that nothing is sacred.
So be it. Kerry and Edwards tried to get the President to condemn the untrue ads, AFTER Kerry condemned the ones on his side. Kerry stopped the effective 'Same Old Tricks' ad on Sen. McCain's request. You think Rove would have done that? He would have laughed in McCain's face, and ran it twice as often.
Face it, you're backing a candidate who has built a career on negativity, fear, and loathing, all meant to hide his miserable failures in life, business, and now leadership.
So, all is now fair game. Let's open up your guy's record Vietnam record, and Cheney's five convenient deferments. Maybe a couple of sleezebags will come forward and state that while Kerry was supposedly making up combat reports in Vietnam, Bush was snorting, smoking, DUIing, playing around with married women, and in detox.
Pandora's box is now open, thanks to Bush and Rove. |
