Ok by me Chinu. But, just for the record: The Story of the United States Navy, challenging the authenticity of Kerry's Vietnam War medals, is not a Swift Boat story. It is a John Kerry v. the US Navy, story.
But I do appreciate your courtesy. That's the way a discussion thread should operate.
For your information, several weeks ago, I purchased a Bush/Cheney 2004 yard sign. I had to buy it because the local Repub office was out. Including shipping charges, the yard sign cost me $13.00. It survived about two and one half weeks.
I live in a heavily infested and very wealthy Democratic ward, only a half block from Northwestern University. There are many Kerry/Edwards/Obama signs about. Mine was the only Bush/Cheney sign for blocks around.
A few mornings ago, I went out to get my Chicago Tribune. The sign was gone. One of its wire legs was still in the ground. The thief, most likely a misguided Northwestern professor, a hold over from the flower power brigades of the sixties, or maybe one of his poor students under his influence, felt that Kerry's campaign could be advanced by his trashing and stealing my lonely Bush/Cheney sign.
Today, I went back to the local chapter of the GOP. They have a large supply of Bush/Cheney parapharnalia now. I got several yard sign replacements and a few bumper stickers.
After telling them my story, they laughed and said: well if these replacements disappear, there are many more where they came from.
I now have not one but two Bush/Cheney yard signs gracing my lovely Dutch Colonial home.
So you see, Chenu. That's the way it works. Silence one of us and two others appear to take up the cause. Steal one of my yard signs and lo and behold, two appear as its replacement.
I plan to wage my warfare right up through Election Day, 2004 |
