Uh, a bit math-challenged, aren't we? That's 220 years, assuming 130,000 troops.

Of course, that assumes that the rest of the population doesn't rise up. Look at the casualty numbers from Vietnam; we're already surpassing those rates of dead.

Of course, when you throw in the wounded (anywhere from 7,000-10,000), then the casualty rate goes up even higher. Of course, those troops come home - broken, disabled, limbless. So, 8,000 casualties every 1.5 years for 25 years is 130,000. 25 years now seems to be a conservative estimate...

But, the point was that the rightists want our troops to stay indefinitely.
