Great letter unclewest, thanks for sharing it.

It reminds me of why I have so much disdain for politicians like Kerry. America is one country, we debate, we argue, we discuss and then we decide as a nation. We had a debate on Iraq for many months, almost a year in fact. After the debate, congress voted, the President agreed, he gave Saddam one and then another last chance, we went to war.

After that decision our young men and women will be put in harms way, and the best thing we can do to end the war quickly is to show overwhelming support for the effort.

To do otherwise is to put more of our troops in danger, to prolong the war, to risk losing, to demoralize our troops morale, the Americans people resolve and so much more.

Democrats went down this road at the earliest political opportunity on Iraq. Many like John Kerry went down this road even after they voted for military action. Some, like Kerry and Edwards, took to it to the extreme and chose to not fund our troops who were in combat at that very moment fighting for their lives. What kind of a leader does that? What kind of Commander in Chief pulls the carpet out from under his troops after he has agreed to commit those troops to battle?

The "politics of the moment" Kerry's of this world disgust me.
