Yes you're right that the problem will get worse as the devekoping nations increase their energy consumption. But, since we consume more energy per capita than any of nation and because we're the richest nation and because we have the most advanced technology we need to take the lead and set the example and develop the technology so we can provide the tools to those developing nations for the benefit of the entire planet. But Bush would rather increase his overwhelming military superiority.
