Listen to Zell's speech at the 1992 Democratic Convention. He wasn't complimenting Clinton's liberal values. He was trashing Bush for being too much of a wimpy peacenik.

I think the Republicans have made a big mistake with their convention. They are preaching to the choir. Dyed in the wool RWers loved to hear Zell and Cheney breathing fire. Most normal people recoiled in horror at the angry, bitter, vindictive display. But that is consistent with this entire Bush Presidency. This administration just can't hide it's greed and arrogance. They are the antithesis of the Reagan Administration, which cloaked its cynical, brutal policies in a wonderful fog of optimism and smiles.
