Tom Cruise, who now wisely with-holds any public statement on the presidential campaign, was another opportunist in the John Kerry mode who furthered his career with the film "Born on the 4th of July." He's far more clever today than Kerry by remaining silent on the subject of Vietnam. Cruise has his age as an excuse for his opportunism at the expense of the Vietnam vets. Kerry on the other hand has absolutely no excuse for presenting himself as a qualified candidate for U.S. President after his outrageous history.
