Hi Kevin W,

September should be the month for the disk drive makers. On optimizing the probability of success for a trade ... have several ducks lined up in a row. In the case of the dd's:

1. Institutions have already loaded up on the dd's during the fire sale three months ago. They will support the rise of these stocks ... they like making big profits.

2. Fundamentals support their rise. In a market with valuations at nosebleeding heights, the dd's are a good value. Barron's said so ... Barron's does not lie, they are just late to recognize things.

3. Technicals support their rise. The dd's either held at key support levels and/or try to make new highs on the day the DOW was being slaughtered 240 some points.

4. Market sentiment will be wooed. New disk drive models are being rolled out. Today WDC introduced a new MR model ...

5. Momentum will be sustained. SEG, APM, WDC will present at the Salomon Tech conference early Sept.

6. Summer is the seasonal slow quarter for PCs, but winter will be blowout. Oh, guess when components have to be ordered ...

One should have a scenario mapped out for each trade, and a target and time frame. APM target of 40-42 for a flip is doeable, or go for the gold with shares longer-term.
