We spent TONS and TONS and TONS of money in Vietnam. What are you, crazy? We spent more in Vietnam than we spent in WWII and dropped more ordnance on that poor little third world country as well. All because of the big lie and delusion that those people posed a threat to us. They didn't. 56,000 Amerians dead and 250,000 some wounded, and for what? Against who? It made absolutely no sense.

Rent "The Fog Of War" right away and let Robert McNamara, the architect of the Vietnam War clear up your thinking.
