I read General Smedely's book a few weeks ago. It pretty much sums up human history over the past Century. War is the most profitable racket known to man. Look at the crazy profits from this Iraq war. $8.8 Billion has just disappeared. :-0 Amazing how once the Soviet threat disappeared, suddenly the arabs were our enemies. It's no mistake. The powers that be need an enemy to justify this insane militaristic society we live in. George Orwell's 1984 is another book that pretty much explains the current state of affairs in our country.
