David Re...Can you imagine the Right carrying the kind of "anger" around for four years the way the Left has? Zell Miller is angry?
The simple truth is the angriest speaker at the rep. convention, was a democrat. And Zell threw some bombs, which the dems have yet to answer. While the spitball remark made the most headlines, I think Zells charge, that the dem. party had a plan to discredit GW, regardless of the cost to national security, was a real bombshell, and needs to be answered by not only Kerry, but the dems leaders. There have always been charges, of unpatriotic behavior by the far left, but now, that charge has been leveled at the dem. leadership, by one of their own. And if one believes all of the polls, the bomb has done immense damage.
Kerry responded, by attacking Cheney with unsubstantiated charges, however, Cheney was soft and fuzzy compared to Zell. Zell is the one, Kerry needs to discredit, and not just Kerry needs to do it. The dem. national leadership, needs to show that the fiery speeches by Gore, Kennedy etc, Howard, etc. weren't part of vast left wing conspiracy to discredit GW , regardless of the cost to national security. The reversal of trends on the polls, if it continues, will lead to a GW trouncig of Kerry, possibly bigger than Dukakis, and will lead to a big time introspection, if not cleaning house. |
