As I review organized religion in this Country I find very few that do not deal in hypocrisy. Exception might be THE FRIENDS SOCIETY who were bold enough to carry medical supplies to Viet Nam during the war. Not to aid the enemy but to help those who needed them.

To me religions do more to incite divisiveness and fear to be able to control, or the placebo effect to be able to placate the masses. George W. Bush has used fear to implement all of his programs including the war in Iraq. Last night I listened to what seemed to be a reasonable assessment about our terrorist policy. We have incited more recruits with our war rather than bringing to fruition a situation of controlling terror. We have yet to witness this unfortunately as the terrorists have patience. We have not suppressed terror, only put band aids on spots. Underneath that is a raging ferment of anger at us and it will erupt ...

Bush is using religion as a political ploy and catering to the religious right. His stand for an amendment to gay marriage is a throw back to oppressive, discrimination and philandering to the vote from the Right.
