Moore has built his career on lies, both in his films and books. The left is so consumed by irrational hatred they couldn't care less. I've been able to bait several leftists here on SI into defending the proposition that the US invaded Afghanistan after 9/11 in order to get Unocal a pipeline across Afghanistan.

The seating of anti-American propagandist Moore in an honored position beside former Pres. Carter reveals the utter depravity into which the Democratic Party has sunk. No wonder Sen. Zell is angry. All principled and patriotic Democrats should be.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the 48% of the US that doesn't have a useable brain cell in its head. It's frightening the the USA has become so much like pre-fascist Europe. Maybe you should flee to Europe while you still can. They like people who bad mouth America over there. Moore has gotten rich selling books there. He sells more in Germany alone than he does in the US. Besides you want to get out before Ashcroft puts all you opponents in concentration camps, don't you? If you wait till after Nov. 2, it may be too late.

BTW Bush's support is over 48% now. Time and Newsweek claim his lead in the polls over Kerry is in the double digits.

Kerry would still vote to give the PRESIDENT authorization to saber rattle. That's it. Thanks for reminding me. Kerry's statement undoubtedly reassured our foreign enemies. They know that a warning from Kerry is just words and won't be backed up by any action. Because he actually said so.
