The money used for the addition came out of savings. We wanted to invest that money...and the best investment was an addition.

The wife is not going to let me take the money out of savings, and then spend it on insurance...the same insurance that we have paid through the nose for...and never made a single claim.

You keep confusing income with savings and investment capital. Our income is down. It's not a cyclical thing...it's the continuous bumbling of Bush that has sent the economy into the dumper.

Unlike the president, who ordered the printing presses to bankroll the most excessive spending by any congress, let alone a republican one, in decades. So while Bush makes up his budget with deficit spending...the Orca pod doesn't have that kind of flexibility. Our income is slashed in half. With that kind of reduced income stream there is no longer room in our budget for health insurance.

We pray everyday that the economy will improve and that our business will return to it's previous level...if not, maybe we'll all get "manufacturing jobs" down at Mickey Dee's.

What plain folks are having trouble understanding is how you can keep spending on wars and nation building, and at the same time talk about making the tax cuts permanent. Isn't that a recipie for bankruptcy? What happens to Social Security then? Privatize the system...so that Haliburton will run it?

I think that the Bush plan is to send the country into bankruptcy, that way he can drown the social security baby in it's own bathwater.
