Yes, the system is a major step forward for VRB Power. However, I'm a little embarrassed. After receiving the release, I spoke with the company to determine if the unit would really meet the telecom application needs for back-up power. I missed some key questions. I didn't observe that it appears as though the system was not designed by Magnetek MOU but, rather, by the Austrian Sub. But this is not consistent with the system being manufactured in Canada. I'm confused and will have to check with the Company Tuesday.

In any event, the system is modular and the tanks can easily be replaced with tanks containing charged electrolyte. This is necessary to avoid the need for motor-generator back up where the power outage is longer than 4 hours. Even though the percentage of outages that are longer in duration than 4 hours is very small, longer outages do occur and service must be maintained. And, one of the advantages of the Redox technology is that one can treat the electrolyte like fuel for motor generators.

While it has taken VRB much longer than I expected to get their act together and become successful, I think they are finally there. The move severe their tie with Pinnacle is a major positive. I expect the manufacturing facility to do more than produce the 5 KW systems. I'm sure it will produce cell stacks, which will give them independence from Sumitomo. This seems to me to be a necessary step to get contracts from large power companies.

The rest of the year should be very exciting.
