Karen,

We live in a highly PC world that separates out the Nazi's and the Germans. We could argue those points forever - but bombing cities was necessary with the technologies available (and the choices afforded). Could one or even a few have been avoided - perhaps, but that was then and this is now.

We don't have to target children. We may sometimes kill innocents because our enemies hide with civilians to use our morals against us - but we do not target them.

I am of Irish decent and detest British Imperialism and all its barbarity over the centuries, but could never support the IRA putting nail bombs at Harrods in London. I am an ardent anti-Jihadist, but I could not even imagine an argument for targetting their children.

You attempt to create a situation where the only choice is to target a child. This is unlikely.

While these hypothetical Jihadi's occupy Cleveland - why aren't we shooting at them, rather than their kids?

John
