3 of them are biotechs, 2 of which have-Maxy and catg have agreements with roche and abbot., among others. catg is currently suing abbott over the royalties from humira and approved and very successful drug. the trial will take place in the fall. xnva is very speculative. .and so is optv. however optv is majority owned by liberty and has products which will be in demand over the next decade. of course that was true for @home as well. I believe the odds are good that optv will either become profitable or be bought by the parent company for a premium. Maxy is sitting on tons of cash as they have sold one of their subs for $64MM to Dupont i believe. Both Maxy and Catg have proven to me that they have a business. Certainly either could squander their cash on an unsuccessful trials. The jury is out on optv and xnva. however should either of them start generating profits they will likely sell for multiples of what they are selling for now. maxy and catg at the moment are easily my largest holdings. Also I note that your comment about the insider selling on MAXY is misleading- there is a smidgeon of automatic selling by one director, there is some 50,000 disposition of shares at 0 in a non-market transaction by another director. there has been no selling by any officer in the company in 2004 to my knowledge.
