I wonder how much the IRS got from people who cashed out on speculative stocks and super-high P/E valuations. Let's not forget that the E in that ratio was also inflated because we were still believing pro forma numbers back then (vs. GAAP).

Let's not forget about how that funny money was also pumped back into the economy. And the IRS was taking its share every step of the way.

Bottom line: An inflated economy led to inflated revenues for the Feds. All because of the "New Economy" that Clinton himself took credit for.
