Bless your poor little geographically strained heart!!! I am from Lexington, Virginia-a town that despite its 10000 pop. does not suffer from low self-esteem and wonders why anyone could possibly think of Kentucky on hearing its name. Oddly enuf, it's only 50odd miles from Roanoke, Va. No wonder you're confused. Lex has been in the news recently with the furor about the court's decision to allow women into Virginia Military Institute, a decision I understand intellectually but about which I feel great regret and sadness. It is the passing of a long and usually fine tradition. Never confuse a Virginian with a West Virginian; it is indeed the foulest of insults could find the sinner strung from the closest magnolia.

Alas, no one has asked me for any steamy stories lately-unless you count the invitation to recount my childbirth experiences on Mephisto's thread.

i think it is for the best that you don't agonize over marital faux pas as much as internet bloopers; my guess is that you feel(oh my god, I used the word!)secure with your wife's acceptance of you, although why you would care about any of us socially maladjusted loners baffles me.

There! I have insulted EVERY breathing soul on SI with one sentence.

Concerned no one will write me again?
