Exactly. Which is what makes the whole argument that Kerry votes against the military so simplistic. His voting record has been overwhelmingly for the military, especially in those areas that directly affect the troops.

Whoa! Your argument about a single bill is one thing. But Kerry has a VERY LONG Senate record of voting against defense spending at every turn. Campaign rhetoric is one thing; an extended history of voting soft on defense is quite another.

The big issue, however, is that he would give Chirac veto power over our national security. This is inexcusable and intolerable. We don't need a president who follows Old Europe's demands. We need a world leader, not a world follower.
