I believe Kerry will win. Everything will break for Kerry from here on out. There will be good news for Kerry (coming back in the polls), good events for Kerry (like the debates, Springsteen, et. al. concerts, and F9/11 DVD release), and sadly there will be bad news that will make people look to Kerry (like 1000+ deaths in Iraq, Q3 GDP data).

Kerry is now going on the offensive and I think that will help.

For the Q3 GDP, the Bush administration is forecasting 4.5% annualized growth. However, in the last few days we have had warnings from WalMart (back to school sales poor, lowered sales forecast), Ford and GM (siginificantly lowered production for the remainder of the year due to high inventories), Intel has warned and lowered their forecasts, and housing has slowed dramatically as inventories have soared (7.5 months of inventory now in the OC). All of this says the economy is slowing under the burdens of high debt and high energy prices. The initial Q3 GDP number will be released on Oct 29th ... just days before the election. Everyone will see that Bush's economic policies are failing and that we are on the wrong track.

Best to all.
