<What UN cooperation? From France and Germany? How convenient for you to insist on UN cooperation.>

I'm sure you recall that back in March 2003, just as the Bush Administration was applying maximum pressure on the United Nations to get it to sign the ticket so that the US could invade Iraq with an international sanction, France, Germany, Russia and China spontaneously joined together to block the US on the UN Security Council. The record shows that the US (and Britain) swept around the UN and the attack upon Iraq rolled in. Having observed the Iraq war and the Iraq occupation since then, the realization has struck each of the above nations that they do not have to form any overt, or covert, alliance to stand up to the US. Not only is the US now woefully militarily and geo-strategically over-extended, it has also chosen a policy that has a strategy without a bottom, it does NOT have the economic means to implement it. Realizing this, the four nations mentioned above have again drifted politically apart, each one realizing in its own right that none of them have to do anything at all.

It really serves no purpose for the rest of the world to try to counter the US policy of preponderance with a counter policy that strives to exhaust the US. The US is ALREADY exhausted! The US has the military means. It does NOT have the economic, monetary, or financial means.

The Bush Administration's policy cannot succeed. The economic means to sustain it are NOT there.
