Noticed lots of talk of United airlines shedding it's underfunded defined benefit pension obligations. If this happens, it's a real sign of breakdown. So far this is being pushed back. I also have small amounts of gold, silver etc. Of course, I'm living in California, a high tax state, so in a way I am already paying the price... Hmm - How much more money would I have if I had moved to Nevada or Washington 5 years ago...
