hello to bev wigney and all: on averaging down:

averaging down is "much fun" if you can first allow yourself
the privelige of doing it without using more money.
first take enough shares out on a good price rise to make the shares
you have left essentially free. this in itself is a respectable
"done deal" that many people overlook.

then enjoy a good drop as you concentrate on how many shares
you might want to snag at a new possible bottom with your
origional investment money.

the two advantages i look at are:

1) your possible # of shares as the stock ticks down
now becomes good news. (your money in hand is becomming
more valuable.)

2) you're also encuraged to search for other places
to put money that is "yours to spend again".
the benefit of this should not be over looked.
you're most always paid for getting smarter!
